  13.   RandIcon is a cdev that randomly changes the icon that represents your startup volume under system 7. Here's how to install…
  14.     -Double-click on the RandIcon Installer icon.
  15.     -Choose "Go For It" under the "Install" menu.
  16.     -Don't go anywhere, it only takes about a minute to install all 95 icons.
  17.     -The installer app will build a cdev called "RandIcon" in the same folder as it.
  18.             Drop this control panel into your system folder (in the control panels folder).
  19.     -Restart.

  24.     If you want to add icons to RandIcon after installation, you can do so using ResEdit. Just open the file named "Icon" in the root directory of your hard drive with ResEdit and paste in your favorite icon families. You can also delete icons using the same method (just be sure to add or delete the entire icon family).

  26. NOTE: If you add or delete icons to the icons file, keep them in numerical order, starting at ID # 128. If you leave a blank and have the control panel set to "numerical", the sequence will start over when it reaches the empty space.

  30. Installer version 1.1
  31.     •Made cool about box cooler.
  32.     •Fixed an elusive updating bug. Sorry to anyone that had to wait the 10 minutes for original installation… this has been fixed.
  33.     •The installer now checks to make sure that you have enough space on your hard drive before installing. Useful, that.

  36.     •Fixed minor memory bug that caused major conflicts with some other cdevs (Zipple, just to name one)

  42.     •When "numerical" was selected and the init reached the end of the icons, it had problems finding the beginning again. This has been fixed, and now just starts at 128.

  45.     •Fixed bugs in memory allocation (oops!). Control panel and init both work just fine now.
  46.     •Fixed problem when all icons in family are not present.

  52.     I have tested this control panel and installer with various systems… however, if there is any problem with this cdev on your computer, IT IS NOT MY FAULT!!! Please, don't blame me. I don't think anything bad could happen anyway. BUT, if anything does, please write me and tell me.
